Michael Easton is best known to daytime audiences as Tanner Scofield on Days of Our Lives, a role he played from 1989-1992.
 
Easton spent several years working in New York theater and an array of odd jobs including waiter, bartender, and attack dog agitator.
 
Easton's talent and rugged good looks won him a legion of fans and attention from such publications as People Magazine's "Most Beautiful People" issue in 1992.
 
 
A martial arts enthusiast and gymnast, Easton performed many of his own, less life-threatening, stunts on "Two" and had also co-written several episodes.
 
Easton served as writer/director/producer/editor on the 1995 Sundance Film Festival motion picture Daedalus is Dead.
 
He is most recognized for his appearances on Ally McBeal where he played Glenn, the generously endowed art-class model who posed for Ally and then bedded her.
 
 
He discusses his experiences of being a homeless wino in his acclaimed book of poetry Eighteen Straight Whiskeys a 96-page collection of hard-edged emotional musings on drinking and drugs, which details his experience with homelessness, his mom's death and alcohol-induced hazes.
 
Easton credits the Los Angeles Mission, a homeless shelter on the city's skid row, with putting him on the straight and narrow, and his late mom, Joan, with keeping him there. She died in 1994, after a two-year bout with cancer, during which Easton quit acting and moved back to the family home in New York State to help care for her.
 
His father, Stewart, is an engineer; his younger brother, Keith, is a Navy pilot.
 
 
In preparing for the gig on Port Charles, the actor reread his collection of Anne Rice novels. " But Easton also got a little first-hand experience when he accidentally walked into Coven 13, a Gothic dance party sporadically held at a music hall near his home in Los Angeles.
 
Easton's tattoos are real.
 
Easton was 5 when his parents moved back to their native Ireland.
